M4. Subscribing To The Yahoo Group

Verizon is deleting all Yahoo groups  on Dec. 15, 2020.

Find the section titled "Subscribing to the New Groups.io Mailing List"

Warning: This Yahoo group is for Susquehanna S Gaugers  MEMBERS ONLY.

To Subscribe To The [SsgPrivate] Yahoo Group:

Step 1:

• Send a blank email (no subject or body is necessary) to
  ssgPrivate-subscribe@yahoogroups.com .      This initiates your subscription.

• Yahoo will send you a "request for confirmation" email.  You'll receive it anywhere from several minutes, to a day later.

Warning: You're NOT subscribed yet.  You MUST complete Step 2.

Step 2:

• Find the "request for confirmation" email in your inbox
• Then just hit the REPLY button.  This CONFIRMS your request to join the group.

Step 3:

• Notify the mailing list volunteer (James Ingram) that you have completed Steps 1 and 2.
• He will need to APPROVE your membership request -- since this is a PRIVATE Yahoo group.

• The Yahoo Group will automatically subscribe the address from which it receives the blank email (after your request is approved).   
• You will receive a confirmation message, plus a "new members message".

 Note:  Some addresses cannot be subscribed:

There are a few addresses that Yahoo says that they will NOT allow you to subscribe: "admin@..", "info@..", "sales@..", "support..@", and "webmaster@..".
